We now farm completely organically and are IOPA members with transitional IOPA#07-1905 towards certification. We raise lamb, emu, and heritage Blue Slate turkeys and Large Black pigs. We specialize in sweet potatoes, garlic, leeks, squash, lovage, dried beans, carrots and beets. We still have our emu oil products under the Songlines label and have added therapeutic soap. Farm tours available with prebooking. We are now growing blackberries, loganberries, olives, lemons and limes. SOL Farm specializes in heirloom tomatoes and heritage vegetables, which includes a wide range of unusual varieties. Also grown: apples, blueberries, tayberries and blackberries. We raise free-range chickens for eggs as well as meat birds. We also raise pigs which are fed organic grain and garden produce, and grass-fed beef. All our produce is pesticide- and herbicide-free and grown organically in good, fertile earth. Pickling
cukes, sweet onions and tomatoes may be ordered in quantity as the season progresses. Look for us at the Downtown Duncan Farmers’ Market every Saturday and the Bowen Road Farmers’ Market in Nanaimo every Wednesday afternoon. We also sell seasonal produce and eggs from the farm cart at the end of our driveway, year-round.
