Nestled on a sunny south-facing slope in the picturesque Mount Newton Valley, the farm’s unique microclimate provides a natural habitat for a wide variety of herb plants to thrive. The market in our old 1910 barn offers organic medicinal and culinary herb starts, open-pollinated herb seeds, fresh-cut herbs, herbal teas and local handmade goodies. We also sell free-range eggs, heritage chicks and goslings. Enjoy our established herb and veggies gardens, sweeping views of the valley and Saanich Inlet, and our friendly farm animals. Open Sundays 10 am–4 pm, May through September.

The herbs on Valhalla Farm benefit by growing in the warmth of the Cowichan Valley, allowing them to grow to their full potential. They are all organically grown. We sell fresh-cut culinary herbs in season, herb plants, dried herbal blends, teas and herbal preserves. A display garden is located on the farm to show the beauty and versatility of these useful plants. We are proud to be a conservation partner with The Land Conservancy (TLC). Open May to August, Saturday and Sunday, by appointment.
